Wstęp: Ciąża jest wyjątkowym stanem w życiu kobiety, a dla ratownika medycznego sta-nowi ona ogromne wyzwanie. Wymagającą interwencji medycznej ciężarną kobietę należy traktować jako dwóch pacjentów jednoczasowo. Specyfika podejmowanych działań obejmuje resuscytację krążeniowo oddechową, postępowanie w urazach oraz zasady farmakoterapii ciężarnych kobiet.Cel pracy: Celem badań jest zwrócenie uwagi na specyfikę działań ratunkowych w wybra-nych stanach zagrożenia zdrowia i życia u kobiet znajdujących się w ciąży.Źródła danych: Poszukiwania przeprowadzono w bazie Scopus używając hasła stany zagrożenia zdrowia i życia w ciąży, algorytmy postępowania w nagłych stanach w ciąży, dzia-łania ratunkowe w nagłych stanach w ciąży za okres 2006-2016. Z tak wybranego piśmiennic-twa dokonano następnie w oparciu o Google Scholar wyselekcjonowania artykułów, komen-tarzy, opracowań zwartych o największej liczbie cytowań, dotyczących powyższej tematyki. Tak zgromadzone piśmiennictwo posłużyło za materiał do opracowania niniejszej pracy.Wyniki i wnioski: Stany zagrożenia życia ciężarnej mogą być związane z zaburzeniami w przebiegu ciąży, mogą powstawać jako zwiększenie podatności na zachorowanie lub być wynikiem pogorszenia choroby związanej z ciążą lub wynikać z chorób niezwiązanych z ciążą. Wymagającą interwencji medycznej ciężarną kobietę należy traktować jako dwóch pacjentów jednoczasowo, jednym jest ciężarna a drugim nienarodzone jeszcze dziecko. Postępowanie w stanach zagrożenia życia polega na wstępnej resuscytacji, monitorowaniu i ocenie zaburzonych czynności fizjologicznych oraz podtrzymywaniu czynności jednego lub wielu narządów. Specyfika działań ratunkowych wynika z przyczyny powodującej stan zagrożenia życia. Nadrzędnym celem jest zawsze zapewnienie odpowiedniej podaży tlenu i perfuzji tkanek. W działaniach ratunkowych należy uwzględniać prawidłową adaptację mechanizmów fizjologicznych w okresie ciąży oraz działanie leków i zabiegów na płód.

Introduction: Pregnancy is a very special time in a woman’s life and a great challenge for every medical rescue worker. A pregnant woman requiring medical attention has to be treated as two patients approached at the same time. The specifics of actions taken include cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, trauma treatment procedures, and the principles of pharmacotherapy during pregnancy.The aim of the study: The aim of the study was to highlight the specifics of emergency actions in selected life-threatening conditions of pregnant women. Data sources: The search of the sources was conducted in the Scopus database using the following key words: states threats to health and life during pregnancy, the algorithms of ac-tions taken in cases of endangered pregnancy, and the medical intervention in pregnancy complications. The period considered was 2006-2016. The selection of these articles was based on the highest rate of quotation in Google Scholar. The references collected served as the material for this paper.Results and conclusions: Life-threatening conditions during pregnancy can be connected with disrupted course of pregnancy, increased proneness to sickness, aggravation of an existing condition connected with pregnancy, or an illnesses unrelated to pregnancy. A pregnant woman requiring medical attention has to be treated as two patients approached at the same time, one of them being the mother and the other her unborn child. The procedures in life-threatening conditions are based on primary resuscitation as well as the monitoring and estimating the impaired physiological functions with maintaining the functioning of one or moreorgans. The specifics of emergency actions depend on the reason for the life-threatening con-dition. The main goal is always to provide the adequate supply of oxygen and tissue perfusion. In emergency actions two things needs to be considered: the correct adaptation of physi-ological mechanisms during pregnancy and the impact of medications and operations on the foetus.
