Analysis of the phenophases of Alnus glutinosa, Corylus avellana, Betula pendula against a background of the pollen seasons and meteorological conditions

Praca przedstawia wynik obserwacji fenologicznych przeprowadzonych dla trzech gatunków drzew: Alnus glutinosa, Corylus avellana i Betula pendula. Badania zostały przeprowadzone w roku 2016 w Krakowie. Obserwacje fenologiczne prowadzono według metodologii opracowanej przez Łukasiewicza. Analiza wyników wykazała wpływ niektórych warunków siedliskowych na różnice w zakwitaniu i długość kwiatostanów badanych gatunków w obrębie miasta. Korelacja pomiędzy kolejnymi fazami fenologicznymi a wydłużaniem się kwiatostanów jest silna i istotna statystycznie dla każdego z trzech gatunków. Wykazano również wpływ temperatury średniej dobowej na rozpoczęcie zakwitania. Nie stwierdzono istotnej korelacji pomiędzy sezonami pyłkowymi, a przebiegiem faz fenologicznych badanych gatunków.

This study presents the results of phenological observations conducted on three trees species: Alnus glutinosa, Corylus avellana and Betula pendula. Phenological observations were carried out using the Łukasiewicz method. The study took place/was performed in Krakow in 2016. The results analyses showed that some habitat factors can influence the differences in the length of the inflorescences and the time of blooming within the city. The correlation between phenological phases and lengthening of inflorescence is strong and statistically significant for each of the species. Considering the meteorological factors, only temperature can affect the start of blooming. The comparison between pollen seasons and phenological observations did not indicate any significant correlation.
