Transformacja obrazu miasta w literaturze latynoamerykańskiej XX wieku

The changing image of the city in Latin American literature of the XXth century

Celem pracy magisterskiej jest ukazanie transformacji jakiej uległ obraz miasta w literaturze latynoamerykańskiej XX wieku w odniesieniu do symbolu miasta z przeszłości. Aby zaprezentować to zjawisko analizujemy cztery dzieła dwóch pisarzy latynoamerykańskich: “Krótkie życie”, “Kolekcjoner”, “Martwy Port” Juana Carlosa Onettiego oraz “José Salomé z Rosedalu” Artura Azueli. Zmianę jakiej uległo miasto w kulturze latynoamerykańskiej ukazujemy na podstawie analizy postaci powieści oraz przestrzeni w jakich żyją.

The aim of this study is to show how the Latin American city has been changed in the twentieth century , com-pared with the city in the past . To demonstrate this phenomenon , we examine four novels by two American authors: " La vida breve ", " Juntacadáveres ," " El astillero " by Juan Carlos Onetti and " Un tal JoséSalomé " by Arturo Azuela . We pay our attention to the nature of the novel’s characters and the spaces in which they live .

El objetivo del presente trabajo ha sido mostrar las voces críticas que se fijan en los procesos negativos que ocurren en la sociedad urbana del siglo XX, asimismo, subrayar el fracaso del modelo moderno de la civilización y de este modo comprobar la transformación de la ciudad por la que esta ha pasado desde los tiempos muy remotos hasta las últimas décadas del siglo XX. Para demostrar el fenómeno, hemos analizado cuatro obras de dos autores latinoamericanos: "La vida breve", "Juntacadáveres", "El astillero" de Juan Carlos Onetti y "Un tal José Salome" de Arturo Azuela. Prestamos nuestra atención sobre todo en el carácter de los personajes de las obras y en los espacios en los que viven.
