Celem pracy magisterskiej jest przedstawienie szeregu zmian w systemie prawnym dotyczącym zasady powszechności, równości, bezpośredniości, tajności głosowania oraz wyborów proporcjonalnych i większościowych, które nastąpiły po roku 1989. Przeglądu zasad prawa wyborczego dokonałam w aspekcie wielopłaszczyznowym m.in. na gruncie Konstytucji, ordynacji wyborczych, wyroków Trybunału Konstytucyjnego czy sprawozdań z posiedzeń sejmowych. W pierwszym i drugim rozdziale zawarłam definicje pojęcia prawa wyborczego oraz systemu wyborczego jak również samych zasad prawa wyborczego. W kolejnych rozdziałach analogicznie została zawarta istota każdej z zasad wyborczych oraz ich analiza pod kątem wyborów do Sejmu, Senatu, na urząd Prezydenta, Parlamentu Europejskiego oraz organów stanowiących i wykonawczych jednostek samorządu terytorialnego.

The aim of the M.A. is to present a series of changes in the legal system on the principles of universality, equality, directness, secrecy of voting and proportional and majoritarian elections that followed the 1989. Review of the rules of the electoral law has been done in multidimensional aspect, among others, on the basis of the Constitution, electoral law, judgments of the Constitutional Court and the reports of parliamentary sittings. In the first and the second chapter I made a definitions of the electoral law and the electoral system as well as the principles of electoral law. In the following chapters similarly it concluded the essence of each of the electoral arrangements and their analysis in terms of elections to the Sejm, the Senate, at the office of the President, Parliament and constitutive and executive organs of local government units.
