Nadrzędnym celem całej pracy jak i badań w związku z nią przeprowadzonych było zbadanie bezrobocia absolwentów krakowskich szkół wyższych w odniesieniu do narzędzi uczelni pomagających za równo studentom jak i absolwentom w poszukiwaniu zatrudnienia. Kwestia ta jest bowiem ostatnio ważnym i trudnym do rozwiązania problemem współczesnego społeczeństwa. W pierwszym rozdziale pracy omówione są pojęcie, funkcje, geneza idei oraz współczesne metody zarządzania. Rozdział drugi omawia genezę i istotę zarządzania publicznego oraz zarządzania uczelnią wyższą co daje nam podstawy do dalszych rozważań. Trzeci rozdział jest wprowadzeniem do tematyki badań, przedstawia rodzaje bezrobocia, jego przyczyny i skutki a także sytuację absolwentów uczelni wyższych na rynku pracy. W rozdziale czwartym zawarłam metodologię przeprowadzonych badań. Rozdział piąty prezentuje natomiast wyniki moich własnych badań, które pokazują między innymi w jakiej sytuacji znajdują się bezrobotni absolwenci, jaką mają wiedzę na temat instytucji pomocnych w poszukiwaniu zatrudnienia, czy wiedzą o tym, że mogą się zwrócić o pomoc do uczelni i jakie są ich opinie na temat usług przez nią oferowanych. Odpowiedzi na zadane pytania pokazują, że sytuacja absolwentów na rynku pracy jest trudna. W wielu przypadkach nie wiedzą oni do jakich instytucji mogą się zwrócić o pomoc i wolą poszukiwać pracy na własną rękę. Ich wiedza na temat usług oferowanych przez uczelnię dla znalezienia pracy jest zaskakująco niska. Natomiast problematyczną sytuację pogłębia fakt, że absolwenci są sceptycznie nastawieni co do skuteczności usług oferowanych przez uczelnię. Sytuacja tej grupy na rynku pracy jest więc problematyczna i dlatego też w ostatnim rozdziale mojej pracy proponuję alternatywne rozwiązania, które uczelnia może zastosować aby zachęcić studentów i absolwentów do wykorzystania jej narzędzi i tym samym pomóc w ograniczeniu bezrobocia tej grupy.

The primary aim of the study as well as the entire research was to explore unemployment among the graduates of Krakow universities in relation to tools which university can offer their students and graduates in order to search for employment. This issue poses a major problem, and remains to be solved by the modern society. The first chapter discusses the concept, features, and genesis of ideas and modern management methods. The second chapter focuses on the origins and nature of public governance and management of higher education institutions which gives us a basis for further discussion. The third chapter is an introduction to the subject of the research. It presents the types of unemployment, its causes and consequences as well as the situation of university graduates in the labour market. In the fourth chapter a methodology for the study was presented, while the fifth chapter reveals the results of the research. The research presents, inter alia, the situation of unemployed graduates, their knowledge concerning the institutions that assist in job searching, their knowledge about the help they can get from the university and their views on the service that the university can offer them. The answers provided by the research subjects show that the situation of the graduates in the labour market is difficult. In many cases, young people do not know where to seek help and therefore they prefer to look for jobs on their own. Additionally, their knowledge of the university job offers is surprisingly low. This problematic situation is increased by the fact that graduates are skeptical about the effectiveness of the services offered by the university. The situation of this social group in the labour market is rather complicated. That is why in the last chapter of this paper some alternatives that the university can use to encourage students and graduates to use its services are suggested. Hopefully, these alternatives will help to reduce unemployment in this group.
