Praca dotyczy 14 Dywizji Grenadierów SS, która w większości złożona z Ukraińców walczyła po stronie III Rzeszy w latach 1943-1945. Praca podzielona jest na trzy rozdziały. W pierwszym rozdziale opisana jest sytuacja Ukraińców po I wojnie światowej i ich próby wybicia się na niepodległość. Znajdują się tam informacje o organizacjach ukraińskich i ich działaniach w II RP. Zaznaczone są również początki formowania oddziału SS-Galizien. W rozdziale drugim przedstawiony jest dokładny proces tworzenia i szkolenia jednostki oraz jej szlak bojowy, a także zbrodnie dokonane na ludności cywilnej. Jeszcze przed właściwym wyruszeniem na front jednostka atakowała polskie wsie i mordowała ludność cywilną. Na froncie żołnierze dywizji walczyli kolejno z Armią Czerwoną, partyzantką słowacką i jugosłowiańską, by pod koniec wojny znów bić się z armią ZSRR. Trzeci rozdział dotyczy ukraińskich żołnierzy, którzy uniknęli radzieckiej zemsty poprzez ewakuację z frontu i kapitulację przed aliantami. Po wojnie dzięki staraniom generała Pawła Szandruka pozwolono im zostać na Zachodzie i w Kanadzie, dzięki czemu uniknęli przymusowej deportacji do ZSRR.

The thesis is about 14th Grenadier Division of the SS. The unit was composed mostly of Ukrainians and fought in the ranks of Third Reich in the years 1943-1945. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is about Ukrainians situation after First World War and their attempts to win their independence. There are information about Ukrainian organizations and their actions in the Second Polish Republic. It is also shown the initial process of forming the SS-Galizien. In the second chapter is presented exact process of organizing and training the unit and his trail of fire. There is also mentioned criminal actions of the unit, the pacification of the villages and the murder of the Polish civilians. The division attacked many polish colonies before heading to the front. On the front soldiers of the division fought in sequence with the Red Army, Slovak partisans, Yugoslav partisans and again against the USSR army at the end of war. The third chapter is about Ukrainian soldiers, who escaped the Soviet revenge, through evacuation from the front line and capitulation to the Allies. After the war through the efforts of General Pawło Szandruk, Allies allowed Ukrainians to stay in the West Europe or in Canada. They had not been deported to the USSR.
