The realisation of grammatical aspect in the French translation of Ryszard Kapuściński's "Shah of Shahs”

Celem tej pracy jest ukazanie możliwych realizacji aspektu gramatycznego w tłumaczeniu „Szachinszacha” Ryszarda Kapuścińskiego na język francuski. Część teoretyczna pracy podkreśla różnicę między aspektem a Aktionsart (rodzajem czynności), a także opisuje i próbuje porównać funkcjonowanie aspektu w językach: polskim i francuskim. Z kolei część praktyczna przedstawia liczne strategie tłumaczenia aspektu wykorzystane przez tłumaczkę na język francuski.

The objective of this study was to show the possible realisations of grammatical aspect in the French translation of 'Shah of Shahs' written by Ryszard Kapuściński. The theoretical part of the thesis aims to explain the difference between aspect and aktionsart, and to describe and compare the functioning of aspect in Polish and in French. The practical part presents the numerous strategies of translating aspect used by French translator.

L'objectif de ce mémoire est de montrer les réalisations possibles de l'aspect grammatical dans la traduction du « Shah » de Ryszard Kapuściński. La partie théorique introduit la distinction entre l'aspect et Aktionsart et aussi décrit et essaie de comparer le fonctionnement de l'aspect dans les langues polonaise et française. La partie pratique se concentre sur les stratégies de la réalisation de l'aspect en français employées par la traductrice.
