W pracy zaprezentowane zostały wybrane problemy związane z ciągłoscią i własnością Darboux. Przedstawione zostało między innymi twierdzenie Darboux o ciągłości, twierdzenie Darboux o pochodnej, twierdzenie mówiące o tym, że dowolna funkcja prowadząca ze zbioru liczb rzeczywistych w zbiór liczb rzeczywistych jest sumą dwóch funkcji spełniających własność Darboux oraz twierdzenie mówiące o tym, że dla dowolnej funkcji rzeczywistej zmiennej rzeczywistej istnieje funkcja, która różni się od niej na zbiorze miary zero i spełnia własność Darboux. Skonstruowana została funkcja, która spełnia silnie własność Darboux. Omówione zostały również problemy iteracyjne dotyczące funkcji ciągłych oraz funkcji spełniających własność Darboux. Przedstawiona została pewna grupa problemów związanych z iterowaniem funkcji ciągłych, które prawdziwe są tylko dla funkcji rzeczywistych jednej zmiennej. Omówiony został również związek spójności wykresu funkcji z ciągłością i własnością Darboux. Zaprezentowane zostały funkcje, których wykresy są zbiorami gęstymi na płaszczyźnie. Przedstawiona została między innymi konstrukcja funkcji nieciągłej w każdym punkcie, spełniającej własność Darboux oraz posiadającej gęsty i spójny wykres. Duża część pracy została poświęcona zadaniom z czasopisma matematycznego „The American Mathematical Monthly”.

In the paper we presented selected problems associated with continuity and Darboux property. We presented Darboux theorem for continuous functions, Darboux theorem for derivatives, theorem staiting that any function from the set of real numbers to the set of real numbers is the sum of two Darboux functions, theorem stating that for any real function of a real variable there is a function, which differs from it on a set of measure zero and satisfies the Darboux property. We constructed a function that is strongly Darboux. We discussed problems connected with iteration of continuous functions and functions satisfying Darboux property. We presented a group of problems related to iterate continuous functions that are true only for real functions of one variable. It has also discussed connection between functions that have connected graphs, continuous functions and functions satisfying Darboux property. We also presented functions with dense graphs in the plane. We constructed a function which is nowhere continuous, satisfies Darboux property and whose graph is a connected and dense subset of the plane. A large part of the paper is devoted to the problems of the mathematical journal “The American Mathematical Monthly”.
