Praca zawiera opis i wyjaśnienie funkcjonowania kompleksów sportowych typu "Orlik" na przykładzie dwóch obiektów, które zostały objęte badaniem. W roździale pierwszym znajduje się podłoże teoretyczne do badanego problemu. Działanie "Orlików" zostało wpisane w konktekst szeroko rozumianej kultury fizycznej, powiązanej z nią teorii fizycznej edukacji oraz teorii funkcjonalnej i "trzeciego miejsca". Rozdział drugi przedstawia metodologię badań własnych. W roździale trzecim z kolei zaprezentowano wyniki oraz analizę materiału badawczego. Zawierała ona opis tego, co robią najczęściej mieszkańcy na boiskach typu "Orlik", a także odpowiedzi na pytanie czy "Orliki" są miejscami promującymi sport powszechny oraz ogólnodostępnymi. Ponadto, skupiono się się na analizie planu pracy animatorów, oraz wpływie jednostki zarządzającej na jego funkcjonowanie. Analiza zawierała także opis i wyjaśnienie działania obiektów w kontekście "trzeciego miejsca". Czwarty roździał był próbą uogólnienia zebranych badań, a także próbą skonfrontowania odpowiedzi z hipotezami badawczymi.

The work includes a description and explanation of the functioning of the sports complexes of "Orlik" on the example of two objects that were included in the study. The first chapter is a theoretical background to a given problem. The measure "Orliks" was inserted in the context of the wider physical culture, the associated physical theory and the theory of functional education and "third place". Chapter two presents the methodology of research. The third chapter in turn presents the results and analysis of research material. It contained a description of what they do mostly locals on the fields of "Orlik", as well as answers to the question of whether there are places that promote the sport universal and generally available. In addition, the focus was on the analysis of animators work plan, and the impact of the management unit for its functioning. The analysis also included a description and explanation of the objects in the context of a "third place". The fourth chapter was an attempt to generalize the collected research, as well as an attempt to confront response from the research hypotheses.
