How does Google search?

Praca ma na celu przedstawienie problemu rankingowania stron internetowych za pomocą najpopularniejszej obecnie wyszukiwarki stron WWW - Google. Zostaną zaprezentowane dwa podstawowe podejścia do rankingowania stron, a następnie algorytm wykorzystywany jako bazowy przez wyszukiwarkę Google, mianowicie algorytm PageRank. Omówiony zostanie sposób obliczania i tworzenia hierarchii stron dla zadanego hasła oraz zostanie przedstawiona analiza zbieżności tej metody. Na koniec wszystko będzie poparte odpowiednim przykładem obrazującym to zagadnienie.

This thesis is presenting the problem of creating web page ranking by the most popular search machine - Google. There will be presented two basic way of making page rankings, and then an algorithm which is using as a base by Google, namely PageRank. There will be discussed the way of computing and making hierarchy of web pages for a given word and there will be presented analysis of convergence of this method. At the end everything will be supported by an example which is showing discussed problem.
