Wstęp: Zachłystowe zapalenie płuc jest chorobą dotyczącą układu oddechowego. Patofizjologia oparta jest na uszkodzeniu miąższu płucnego wskutek przedostania się do dolnych dróg oddechowych treści płynnej pochodzącej ze środowiska zewnętrznego lub wewnętrznego - najczęściej treści żołądkowo-dwunastniczej, wydzieliny z jamy ustnej. Do czynników ryzyka należą m.in.: zaburzenia świadomości, połykania, długotrwałe pozostawanie w pozycji leżącej. Za rozwój choroby odpowiedzialne są niejednolite szczepy bakterii. Rozpoznanie stanowi problem ze względu na brak charakterystycznych objawów świadczących o rozwoju wspomnianego rodzaju infekcji. Leczenie początkowo opiera się na stosowaniu standardowych metod leczenia zapalenia płuc. Jeśli są one nieskuteczne wdrażana jest antybiotykoterapia o poszerzonym spektrum działania i dalsza diagnostyka, która uwzględnia rozpoznanie czynnika etiologicznego.Cel: Celem pracy jest przedstawienie modelu pielęgnowania pacjenta z zachłystowym zapaleniem płuc w oparciu o teorię Dorothy Orem.Materiał i metody: W pracy wykorzystano metodę analizy dokumentów. Narzędziami badawczymi były publikacje zwarte i artykuły w języku polskim i angielskim.Wyniki: Zachłystowe zapalenie płuc to choroba, w następstwie której pacjent znajduje się w ciężkim stanie zdrowia, któremu towarzyszą powikłania i objawy powodujące zagrożenie życia i zdrowia. W przedstawionym modelu opieki zaprezentowano diagnozy i interwencje pielęgniarskie mające na celu zmniejszenie ryzyka wystąpienia powikłań oraz przeciwdziałanie stanom zagrożenia życia i zdrowia.Wnioski: W działaniach pielęgniarki istotne jest przeciwdziałanie zagrożeniu zdrowia i życia poprzez szybkie wykrywanie symptomów wskazujących na pogorszenie stanu ogólnego chorego. Jej interwencje powinny opierać się głownie na redukcji ryzyka wystąpienia ciężkich powikłań wynikających z unieruchomienia, obecności rurki intubacyjnej, dostępów naczyniowych, zgłębnika żołądkowego, cewnika do pęcherza moczowego oraz stosowanej diagnostyki i leczenia. W przedstawionej pracy zadania pielęgniarki skonstruowane są w oparciu o model pielęgnowania Dorothy Orem.

Introduction: Aspiration pneumonia is a disease of the respiratory tract. The pathophysiology is based on the damage of the pulmonary parenchyma by entering the lower respiratory tract fluid content originating from the external environment or internal - usually gastro-duodenal contents, secretions from the mouth. The risk factors include: among others disturbances of consciousness, swallowing, long-term stay in the supine position. Responsible for disease development has been uneven strains of bacteria. Diagnosis is problematic because of the absence of the characteristic signs of the development of that type infection. The therapy initially, it based on the use of standard methods of treatment of pneumonia. If they are ineffective is implemented by extended-spectrum antibiotic action and further diagnostics, which includes identification of the etiological factor.Objective: The aim of this study is to present a nursing model of patient suffer from aspiration pneumonia based on the theory of Dorothy Orem .Material and methods: The study used a method of analysis documents. Research tools were closed publications and articles in Polish and English.Results: Aspiration pneumonia is a disease, as a result of which the patient is in a serious state of health, accompanied by complications and symptoms that cause danger to life and health. In the presented model of care nursing diagnoses and interventions designed to reduce the risk of complications and prevention of life-threatening states and health.Conclusions: The activities of nurses is essential to preventing health hazards and life through quick detection of symptoms indicating the deterioration of general condition of the patient. Its interventions should be based mainly on reducing the risk of serious complications resulting from immobilization, the presence of the endotracheal tube, vascular accesses, gastric tube, catheter into the bladder and used diagnosis and treatment. In this study, nursing tasks are designed on the model of nursing Dorothy Orem.
