The work concerns the transmission of the Old Testament's hero Samson and its many transformations in literature, music and cinema (from ancient times to the present day). Attention is allocated to the ambivalence of this biblical character and its history, to the evolution of the hero in literature and art in Europe, USA and Russia, to success's degree of these works and possibly its causes
