Moja praca poświęcona jest Goshce Macudze, artystce urodzonej w 1967 roku w Warszawie, mieszkającej na stałe w Wielkiej Brytanii. Przeprowadzone badania dążyć będą do odnalezienia wspólnego mianownika pomiędzy Goshką Macugą, a niemieckim historykiem sztuki Aby’m Warburgiem, poprzez analogie pomiędzy pracami artystki, a Atlasem Mnemosyne. Dużą rolę w moich badaniach odgrywa Georges Didi-Huberman będący współcześnie jednym z najwybitniejszych interpretatorów Warburga i to właśnie jego koncepcje dotyczące niemieckiego uczonego traktować będę jako nadrzędne, służące mi za obszar porównania z Goshką Macugą. Za materiał porównawczy służy mi również projekt francuskiego filozofa "Atlas. Jak unieść świat na własnych barkach? "W analizie omówiona zostanie rola atlasu jako narzędzia epistemicznego umożliwiającego wyjście z kryzysu archiwalnego zwrotu, gdzie prace Goshki Macugi potraktowane zostaną jako trójwymiarowe atlasy.

My work is dedicated to Goshka Macuga, the artist born in 1967 in Warsaw, living permanently in the UK. The study will aim to find a common denominator between Goshka Macuga, a German art historian Aby Warburg, through analogies between the work of the artist, and the Mnemosyne Atlas. A big role in my research plays Georges Didi-Huberman being today one of the greatest interpreters of the Warburg’s heritage. It is his ideas on the German scholar that I will treat as paramount, for me as a comparison area with Goshka Macuga. For comparative material serves me as well a project of the French philosopher Atlas. How to carry the world on your shoulders? The analysis will discuss the role of the atlas as a tool of epistemic to the archive crisis of return, where the works Goshka Macuga should be treated as a three-dimensional atlases.
