Przedmiotem pracy są przemiany jakie zaszły w sferze promocji i dystrybucji muzyki, w wyniku upowszechnienia się Internetu oraz powstania pliku muzycznego. Autorka na podstawie własnych obserwacji oraz dostępnej literatury, skonstruowała zestawienie najważniejszych problemów, które jej zdaniem najcelniej oddają naturę zjawiska. Pierwszy rozdział pełni funkcję wprowadzenia do zagadnień związanych z branżą fonograficzną. Zaprezentowano w nim historię ewolucji technologii zapisu dźwięku, jak również klasyczny model funkcjonowania przemysłu muzycznego w zestawieniu z opisem najnowszych trendów w sektorze. Druga część poświęcona jest omówieniu najważniejszych, nowych form rozpowszechniania utworów za pomocą sieci, a w trzecim segmencie autorka charakteryzuje wybrane aspekty specyfiki działań promocyjnych.

The subject of this thesis are the changes in the field of the promotion and distribution of music, as a result of the expansion of the Internet and the creation of a music file. The author, basing on her own observations and available literature, prepared a summary of the most important issues. The first chapter is the introduction to the topic of phonographic industry. It contains a short history of the evolution of sound recording technology and presentation of the classic model of the music industry in combination with the description of the latest trends in the sector. The second part is devoted to the discussion of the most important new forms of distribution. In third chapter, the author described specific aspects of the promotional activities.
