Praca opisuje technikę kompozycji algorytmicznej, jako rodzaj muzyki komputerowej. Zaprezentowane są ważniejsze przykłady tego sposobu komponowania. W pracy opisane zostały programy komputerowe korzystające z algorytmu muzycznego: EMI, Emily Howell, GenDash i GenJam. W pracy znajduje się tez wskazanie na poza-komputerowe źródła algorytmu w muzyce. Opisany ogólnie jest też algorytm genetyczny i jego znaczenia dla sztuki.

This paper describes technique of algorithmic composition as a kind of computer music. In this work are presented significant examples of this kind of composition. There is description of computer programs which use algorithms, like EMI, Emily Howell, GenDash and GenJam. This paper shows algorithms in western music before the age of computers and it also describes genetic algorithm and its role in contemporary art.
