Rozdział 2 przedstawia historię czterech opisanych w pracy miast od czasów starożytnych do współczesności, porównuje ich historię , zwraca uwagę na wspólne doświadczenia historyczne. Rozdział 3, podzielony na dwie części przedstawia zabytki oraz atrakcje przyrodnicze (parki narodowe, rezerwaty przyrody) w opisanych miastach i ich sąsiedztwie, opisy wzbogacone są ilustracjami. Rozdział 4 charakteryzuje i porównuje miasta pod względem dostępności komunikacyjnej, zwraca uwagę na infrastukturę opisywanych ośrodków i połączenia różnymi środkami transportu. Rozdział 5 (najobszerniejszy) przedstawia bazę noclegową i gastronomiczną (standardy noclegów i punktów gastronomicznych) a także potrzebne potencjalnemu turyście informacje o punktach informacji turystycznej, obiektach usługowych (urzędy pocztowe, szpitale, komisariaty), muzeach i salach wystawowych, obiektach i urządzeniach rekreacyjnych, plażach i basenach.
