The understanding of the sense and form of a work of art in selected philosophical conceptions

W rozprawie pt. Rozumienie treści i formy dzieła sztuki na przykładzie wybranych koncepcji filozoficznych analizuję znaczenie i historyczny rozwój dwóch ważnych dla estetyki i filozofii sztuki kategorii: formy i treści dzieła sztuki. Na podstawie filozofii muzyki św. Augustyna, filozofów starożytnych (Platon, pitagorejczycy) oraz filozofii kultury Adorno rekonstruuję historyczne przemiany tych kategorii. Praca kończy się osobistymi uwagami o znaczeniu obiektywistycznych teorii twórczości artystycznej.

In the dissertation titled Rozumienie treści i formy dzieła sztuki na przykładzie wybranych koncepcji filozoficznych (Understanding of sense and form of work of art on the example of choosing philosophical conceptions) I analyze an importance and historical development of two categories, which are central for aesthetics and philosophy of art: form and sense. Basing on the Augustinian philosophy of music, which has its source in an ancient philosophy (e.g. Plato and Phytagoreans), and Adorno's philosophy of culture, I make a reconstruction of a historical transformation of this categories. The conclusion of my considerations are on actuality of objectivistic theory of art creative.
