Niniejsza praca omawia problematykę wielokulturowości Pakistanu ukształtowaną w wyniku specyfiki podziału Indii Brytyjskich oraz procesów migracyjnych, a także czynniki wpływające na rozwój i obraz pakistańskich mediów w latach 2002-2012. Celem pracy jest zbadanie czy media aktywnie uczestniczą w propagowaniu modelu wielokulturowego państwa, a tym samym w podnoszeniu świadomości społeczeństwa o konieczności zrozumienia innych kultur jako klucza do ich pokojowego współistnienia.
This paper elaborates the problematic aspects of multiculturalism of Pakistan formed as a result of the specific nature of the division of British India and migration processes as well as the factors influencing the development and image of Pakistani media in the years 2002-2012. The aim of the study is to examine whether the media are actively involved in promoting the model of a multicultural state, and thereby raising public awareness about the need to understand other cultures as the key to their peaceful coexistence.
