Niniejsze opracowanie składa się z ośmiu rozdziałów, płyty CD zawierającej pełny kod aplikacji oraz biblioteki i narzędzia niezbędne do poprawnej instalacji i uruchomienia autorskiej aplikacji zatytułowanej Speed Tester. Rozdział drugi zawiera charakterystykę sieci operatorskich, ich definicję oraz przegląd wybranych technologii transmisji danych. Następny rozdział omawia wybrane parametry jakościowe sieci, takie jak przepływność, opóźnienie oraz straty pakietów. Kolejny rozdział zawiera metryki zdefiniowane na podstawie dokumentów IETF (ang. Internet Engineering Task Force) oraz ITU-T (ang. International Telecommunication Union), oraz metody pomiaru efektywności sieci. Rozdział piąty stanowi przegląd wybranych narzędzi udostępnianych na licencjach GPL (ang. General Public License) (Open source) wykorzystywanych do monitorowania ruchu oraz jakości sieci. W rozdziale szóstym została przestawiona autorska aplikacja umożliwiająca przeprowadzenie badań efektywności sieci. Kolejny rozdział jest opisem przebiegu badań na symulacji sieci operatorskiej zbudowanej w celu przeprowadzenia testów przy wykorzystaniu autorskiej aplikacji. Ostatni rozdział zawiera podsumowanie i wnioski które nasunęły się autorowi w trakcie pisania.

The presented treatise consists of eight chapters, the CD containing the full application code and libraries, and tools needed to properly install and run the application author titled "Speed Tester". The second chapter is a description of the network operator, the definition and review of selected data transmission technology. The next chapter describes the selected network quality parameters such as bandwidth, delay and packet loss.The next chapter presents a metric defined on the basis of documents IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) and ITU-T (International Telecommunication Union), and the method of measuring the effectiveness of the network. The fifth chapter provides an overview of selected tools provided on the license GPL (General Public License) (Open source) used for traffic monitoring and network quality.In the sixth chapter was introduced authoring application that allows testing the efficiency of the network. The next chapter is a description of studies on the carrier network simulation built for testing using a proprietary application. The final chapter consist a summary and conclusions that arose among the author during the writing.
