Model of nursing care of a patient with stroke

Udar mózgu to przerwanie dopływu krwi w naczyniu umiejscowionym w mózgowiu, w wyniku czego dochodzi do obumierania jego komórek. Wyróżniamy dwa typy udarów: niedokrwienny (zakrzep lub zator naczynia mózgowego) oraz krwotoczny (krwawienie z nagle pękniętego naczynia krwionośnego w mózgu). Objawy udaru zależą od lokalizacji miejsca uszkodzenia. W wielu przypadkach udar mózgu jest stanem zagrażającym życiu, wymagającym bezwzględnej hospitalizacji, a następnie długotrwałej rehabilitacji.Tematem niniejszej pracy jest ,, Problemy pielęgnacyjne u chorego z udarem mózgu’’. Celem pracy było przedstawienie sposobu postępowania z pacjentem po udarze niedokrwiennym mózgu, aby ułatwić sprawowanie opieki pielęgniarskiej nad tą grupą pacjentów. Model opieki pielęgniarskiej został stworzony w oparciu o teorię Dorothei Orem.Praca złożona jest z trzech części. W części pierwszej dokonano charakterystyki klinicznej postaci udaru mózgu. Przedstawiono definicję choroby i jej podział, epidemiologię, czynniki ryzyka, objawy, leczenie, powikłania, oraz działania profilaktyczne w tej jednostce chorobowej .W części drugiej zawarto metodologię, cel badań oraz opisano materiał i metodę zastosowaną podczas badań. Część trzecia zawiera charakterystykę modelu opieki pielęgniarskiej w oparciu o teorię Dorothei Orem. Przedstawiono w 16 najczęściej występujących problemów zdrowotnych pacjenta po udarze niedokrwiennym mózgu.

Stroke is a sudden loss of brain function resulting from a disruption of the blood supply to a part of the brain. There are two differed types of strokes : thrombotic ( thrombus or embolism of cerebral vessels ) and hemorrhagic ( bleeding from suddenly ruptured blood vessel in the brain). Symptoms of the stroke depend on localization of the place of the damage. In many cases cerebral stroke is a life-threatening condition, requiring certainly hospitalization and after that long lasting rehabilitation.The topic of the presented thesis is "Model of nursing care of a patient with stroke". The purpose of the thesis is to present a way of taking care of a patient with Cerebral Thrombosis and Embolism in order to facilitate the nursing process over such a group of patients. The model of nursing care has been made basing on the theory of Dorothea Orem.The thesis consists of three parts . Throughout the first part, the clinical characteristic of stroke has been explored. There has been presented the definition of the disease and its division, epidemiology, factors of risks, symptoms, treatment, complications as well as prevention of this disease entity. The second part includes methodology, the aim of research, material and method applied during the research. The third part contains characterization of model of nursing care on the basis of the theory of Dorothea Orem. Moreover, twenty three most frequent healthy problems of patients after stroke are presented here.
