Celem pracy jest omówienie najważniejszych czynników meteorologicznych wpływających na zdrowie i samopoczucie człowieka w obszarach górskich. Praca zawiera szczegółowe informacje na temat najważniejszych pojęć związanych z biometeorologią oraz wyjaśnia i opisuje działanie poszczególnych elementów bioklimatycznych, występujących w klimacie górskim. Opracowanie nawiązuje do zmian zachodzących w ludzkim organizmie podczas przebywania na terenach wysokogórskich oraz podaje wskazówki racjonalnego i bezpiecznego spędzania czasu na wysokościach. Uwzględniono zarówno pozytywne jak i negatywne aspekty meteorologiczne działające na organizm ludzki w czasie przebywania na obszarach górskich.

The purpose of this thesis is to discuss the most important meteorological factors affecting people’s health and mood in mountainous regions. The thesis describes in detail the most significant notions related to biometeorology and it explains how certain bioclimatic elements present in the mountainous climate work. This paper refers to changes taking place in the human body in alpine areas and provides instructions on how to sensibly and safely spend time in great heights. Both positive and negative meteorological factors affecting the human body while in mountainous regions have been taken into consideration.
