The aim of this thesis is to present the most popular theorems related to minimization and critical points theory. In the first chapter there are basic definitions, that are used further. Second chapter contains two forms of Ekeland's Principle - classic and weak. Moreover various forms of Palais-Smale conditions are presented and their appliance to minimization. Last part of this chapter is dedicated to Borwein-Preiss Principle. In third chapter of thesis deformation lemma is presented and then three forms of Mountain Pass Theorem: finite dimensional, classical (proved by Ambrosetti & Rabinowitz) and topological.

Celem tej pracy jest zaprezentowanie najpopularniejszych twierdzeń dotyczących minimalizacji oraz punktów krytycznych. W pierwszym rozdziale znajdują się podstawowe definicje, które są wykorzystywane w poźniejszej części pracy. Drugi rozdział zawiera dwie postaci Zasady Ekelanda - klasyczną oraz słabą. Ponadto zdefiniowane są różne warianty warunków Palais'a-Smale'a i ich zastosowanie do minimalizacji. Końcowa część rozdziału jest poświęcona Zasadzie Borwein'a-Preiss'a. W trzecim rozdziale przedstawione jest twierdzenie o deformacji, a następnie Mountain Pass Theorem w trzech wersjach: skończenie wymiarowej, klasycznej udowodnionej przez Ambrosettiego i Rabinowitza oraz topologicznej.
