The research presents the decorative gardens as part of enhancing the attractiveness of tourism in Europe. Work consists five parts. They described the natural environment of Europe, broken down into individual elements of the environment, such as location, climate, water relations, soil and topography. Moreover, the classification presented gardens and characterized various styles. Describes some ornamental gardens and presents them as a tourist product. The description included information about the events dedicated to the most famous gardens, practical information and tourist traffic volume periods to make it available to the public. Analyzed surveys of knowledge and interest in travel to the ornamental gardens in Europe. In the last chapter attempts to delineation of the European Route of Decorative Gardens and presents methods for its promotion of the route.

W pracy przedstawiono ogrody ozdobne jako element podnoszący atrakcyjność turystyczną Europy. Praca złożona jest z pięciu części. Opisano w nich środowisko przyrodnicze Europy w podziale na poszczególne elementy środowiska, takie jak położenie, klimat, stosunki wodne, gleby oraz rzeźbę terenu. Ponadto przedstawiono klasyfikację ogrodów i scharakteryzowano poszczególne style. Opisano wybrane ogrody ozdobne i przedstawiono je jako produkt turystyczny. W opisie znalazły się informacje na temat najsłynniejszych imprez poświęconych ogrodom, informacje praktyczne, wielkość ruchu turystycznego oraz okresy udostępniania ich do zwiedzania. Przeanalizowano, także ankiety dotyczące wiedzy i zainteresowania podróżami do ogrodów ozdobnych w Europie. W ostatnim rozdziale podjęto próbę wytyczenia Europejskiego Szlaku Ogrodów Ozdobnych i przedstawiono metody jego promocji szlaku.
