The functioning of opinions and stereotypes stigmatize individuals leaving correctional facilities

The work was moved about the stigmatization of people who left the penitentiary establishments. Quoted the general concept of stigma, its assumptions and features of the stigma. The contents of the selected theories of deviant behavior, including social theory of marking. Also describes the social effects of the labeling process. Discusses the concept of stereotype and its origins.The main objective of the research was to understand and describe the functioning of opinions and stereotypes about the former prisoners. Conducted for this purpose with the study questionnaire on a group of 50 students and 50 randomly selected people aged 30-35 years who have or have had no contact with former prisoners.

W pracy został poruszony temat stygmatyzowania osób, które opuściły zakłady penitencjarne. Przytoczono ogólne pojęcie stygmatyzacji, jej założenia i cechy stygmatu. Zawarto także wybrane teorie zachowań dewiacyjnych, m.in teorię naznaczania społecznego. Opisano również społeczne skutki procesu etykietowania. Omówiono pojęcie stereotypu oraz jego genezę. Głównym celem badań było poznanie i opisanie funkcjonujących opinii i stereotypów na temat byłych osadzonych. Przeprowadzono w tym celu badanie za pomocą kwestionariusza ankiety na grupie 50 studentów oraz 50 losowo wybranych osób w wieku 30-35 lat, które miały lub nie miały kontaktu z byłym osadzonym.
