Humans are organisms, which communicating with other by vocalizing. Even though speech is the most important means of communication, it is not the one kind of vocal signal on which we have. Humans chuckle, gasp, cry, sigh, and use a lot of other signals. Laughter and crying are vocal signals that are many times compare and describe as being uniquely human. Also, a lot of aspects of these means of communication differentiate them from other animals’ vocalizations. In the functions they serve, these signals are probably belong not only to humans.
