Artykuł stanowi kontynuację rozważań (WZ 3/2007) nad niedostatkami teorii zarządzania organizacjami usługowymi. Obecnie podjęto próbę wypracowania systemowych podstaw teorii organizacji usługowej, traktowanej jako szczególnego rodzaju system społeczny, oraz próbę przysposobienia teorii sytemu do specyfiki organizacji usługowej.

In an ealier paper (WZ 3/2007/3) I ascertained a poor state of the service organization theory. The following text is an attempt to elaborate a system-based theory of service organizations. Author treats the service organization as a special kind of social system, and therefore, initially, „systems theory” is adopted. Its author is the German sociologist N. Luhmann, a representative of phenomenology in social science. Thanks to his theory it is possible to make the next, somewhat risky, step of adopting an alternative (meaning phenomenological) methodology to management science and starting to build a new paradigm.
