Niniejszy tom jest poświęcony postaci gapia, a zwłaszcza francuskiemu "badaud", tradycyjnie kojarzonemu z Paryżanami. W książce jest też mowa o innych typach widzów. Niektóre artykuły omawiają również ogólną kulturę patrzenia i widzenia. This book focuses on "badaud" (onlooker, bystander, gawker), a French term traditionally associated with Parisians. It deals with other types of viewers/beholders too. In addition, some articles analyse the general culture of looking, viewing and seeing.
