The role of evaluation in social welfare : the case of Poland

Rosnące zainteresowanie problematyką ewaluacji wśród badaczy oraz reformatorów polskiego życia społecznego wydaje się wskazywać na to, iż wkrótce nie tylko zostanie ona wpisana w krajobraz zjawisk i procesów zachodzących w rzeczywistości społecznej, ale również będzie stanowiła jeden z istotnych składników tej rzeczywistości. Mając na uwadze perspektywę rozwoju rozmaitych przedsięwzięć w obszarze ewaluacji a także umocnienia jej pozycji na polu wielu dyscyplin i nauk społecznych, nie bez znaczenia pozostaje fakt, że obszar ten charakteryzuje bogactwo podstaw teoretycznych, podejść i strategii oraz ich szerokie możliwości aplikacyjne. Celem artykułu jest analiza podstawowych założeń ewaluacji w pomocy społecznej.

The growing interest in the problems of evaluation among researchers and reformers Polish social life seems to indicate not only that soon it will be entered into the landscape of phenomena and processes in social reality, but also will constitute one of the essential components of this reality. Bearing in mind the perspective of the development of various projects in the area of evaluation as well as strengthening its position in the many disciplines and social sciences, not without significance is the fact that the area has a wealth of theoretical bases, approaches and strategies, and their broad application possibilities. The aim of the article is to analyze the basic assumptions of social evaluation.
