Postać Napoleona w twórczości Teofila Lenartowicza pojawia się kilkukrotnie. W pisarskim dorobku samotnika znad Arno szczególnym przypadkiem jest wiersz, który powstał pod wpływem kolumny Vendôme w Paryżu, jako zapis peregrynacji lirnika mazowieckiego. W wyniku tej obserwacji poeta snuje szereg refleksji dotyczących samoświadomości czynu, historiozofii, następcy Napoleona. Ten Lenartowiczowski wizerunek francuskiego władcy skonfrontowany zostaje z innych utworami tego okresu, w których pojawia się postać małego kaprala.

The image of Napoleon occurs in Lenartowicz's works several times. However, a poem that was created by the influence of the view of the Vendôme Column, that was a monument praising the emperor, is a specific example. As a result of this observation, the poet reflects on morality, historiosophy, and the future ruler, and his reflections have been presented in the article. Moreover, the image of the ruler shown in that way has been presented against the works of other writers of that period.
