This article is about free speech laws in Poland. In Poland protection of human dignity from "misuse" of free speech is of dual character. First, Polish civil law code protects from misuse of free speech, on the other hand Polish Penal law code punishes speech if it takes the form of libel or slander. Article does not talk about the criminal punishment for speech, but focuses on misusing free speech by journalists in their work. the right to criticize in the Polish legal system was presented using Polish Supreme court and Polish appellate courts case law. The article stresses the in abstracto unsolved collision between free speech and the right to dignity. The aim of this article is to present this conflict using case law and prove that neither dignity nor free speech is of absolute character. The paper also claims that the catalogue in the Polish law of Press proves that there are different standards regarding journalists, which can constitute "journalists' freedom of speech".
