Celem poniższej pracy jest przedstawienie w jaki sposób śmierć wpływa na bohaterów seriali nowej generacji. Analiza została przeprowadzona na przykładzie dwóch brytyjskich produkcji komediodramatycznych: "After Life" oraz "The End of the F***ing World". W owych serialach wątek śmierci jest kluczowy dla rozwoju bądź zmiany głównych bohaterów, a przedstawienie dramatycznych scen za pomocą charakterystycznego, brytyjskiego czarnego humoru, który oprócz trywializowania poszczególnych scen i uwypuklenia trudności oraz beznadziei życia fikcyjnych bohaterów, oswaja widzów z tematami tabu, jakim jest m.in. śmierć.

The aim of this thesis is to present how death affects characters of the new generation series. The analysis was carried out on the example of two British comedy-drama productions: "After Life" and "The End of The F***ing World". In these series, the theme of death is key to the development or change of the main characters and the presentation of dramatic scenes with the use of characteristic British black humor, which in addition to trivializing each scene and emphasizing the difficulties of the fictional characters' lives, familiarizes the viewers with taboo topics, such as death.
