Between town and country : space in small towns and its users in the early modern era the example Słomniki

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest wniknięcie poprzez materiał archiwalny w przestrzeń omawianego miasta. Przestrzeń tę podzielono na cztery przenikające się rodzaje: gospodarczą, sakralną, publiczną i prywatną. Materiał źródłowy, na którym oparto artykuł, to zbiór akt luźnych miasta Słomniki, akta sądu wielkorządowego krakowskiego, akta metrykalne słomnickiej parafii, lustracje królewszczyzn, rewizje i rachunki wielkorządców krakowskich, jak i inne materiały rozproszone po polskich archiwach i bibliotekach. W pracy badany jest czas pomiędzy XVI a końcem XVIII wieku, jednak z uwagi na ciągłość pewnych zjawisk, w celu ich wyjaśnienia niezbędne było cofnięcie się do średniowiecza, kiedy to wraz z lokacją miasta powstał jego układ przestrzenny.

The purpose of this article is to penetrate in the space of the Słomniki town through archival material. In order to structure the discussion was divided into public and private. In this first isolated area of public commercial, and religious space. These spaces are influenced each other, and depending on the circumstances serve other purposes. The source material on which this article is based loose collection of Słomniki town act, royal court records, Słomniki parish vital records, audits, revisions and bills of royal estates, as well as other materials scattered in Polish archives and libraries. Chronological period work includes the time between the sixteenth and the end of the eighteenth century, however, due to the continuity of certain phenomena in order to explain them it was necessary to go back to the Middle Ages, when the location of the town with its spatial layout was created.
