W artykule poruszane są zagadnienia współczesnej krytyki literackiej w Polsce. Najważniejsza rozważana w nim myśl została zaczerpnięta z tekstu "O koncepcji historii" Waltera Benjamina. Interpretacja tekstu Benjamina jest szansą dla polskiej krytyki literackiej - słabej, marginalnej, znajdującej się w stałym kryzysie. Autorka wskazuje, że zainteresowanie literaturą wydaną wiele lat temu jest nie tylko okazją dla krytyki literackiej, ale także jej etycznym zobowiązaniem wobec przeszłości.

The article deals with the problem of contemporary literary criticism in Poland. The most important idea considered in this text is taken from Walter Benjamin's "On the Concept of History". The interpretation of Benjamin's concepts for Polish literary criticism is considered as an opportunity for critical writing - weak, marginalized, and in a state of permanent crisis. I would like to suggest that taking interest in texts released several years ago is not only an opportunity for literary criticism, but is also a form of fulfillment of our ethical obligations to the past.
