Celem artykułu jest analiza specyfiki narracji lokacyjnych polegającej na przekraczaniu granicy między reprezentacją a światem fizycznym, co zostało ujęte jako forma tytułowego opowiadania (z) przestrzenią i sieciami. Autorka artykułu twierdzi, że tradycyjne rozumienie mediów obecne w teorii społecznej i nauce o komunikacji, kładące nacisk przede wszystkim na fakt pośrednictwa między światem społecznym a reprezentacją i na wyraziste rozdzielenie obu sfer, nie jest adekwatne w przypadku form mediów lokacyjnych. Przedmiotem krytycznego namysłu jest teoria mediatyzacji, która oferuje interesujący punkt wyjścia, ale porusza się w obrębie paradygmatu zakładającego istotny rozdział między życiem społecznym a mediami.

This article analyses the specificity of locative narratives that transgress the boundary between representation and the physical world – a phenomenon that is here conceptualized as the titular storytelling with space and networks. Nacher argues that when it comes to locative media, a traditional understanding of the media is inadequate, since it is grounded in social theory and communication studies – fields that emphasize the interconnectedness between the social world and representation while at the same time insisting on their clear separation. Nacher focuses her critical attention on the theory of mediatization, which, existing within a paradigm that assumes an actual separation between social life and the media, offers an interesting point of departure.
