abstract in English:
The article is an analysis of the manipulative rhetoric of Richard of Gloucester - the main character of William Shakespeare's Richard III. Drawing on Classical and Renaissance notions of rhetoric (with particular attention dedicated to the pistis of ethos), as well as the thought of Niccolò Machaivelli, the author discusses the character's persuasive to present himself as a desperate lover and successfully woos Lady Anne. In Act III, scene vii, he cunningly manipulates peoiple into believing that he is a most suitable candidate fore the throne.
