The use of foresight research as a tool which fosters decision-making is ever-widening. Most frequently, this type of research relate to science and technology, but more and more countries notice its potential role in social and economic areas. The issues discussed in this publication encompass the effects that can be achieved through the application of foresight research in public service delivery. The basis of the analysis are findings of practical foresight research, and a literature study.
