Zasadniczym celem artykułu jest nakreślenie odmienności ontologicznych, funkcjonalnych i aksjologicznych różnorodnych podmiotów bezpieczeństwa, a tym samym szerokiego zakresu jego definicji, która respektować musi co najmniej dwa dopełniające się kryteria, a więc kogo i w jaki sposób definicja ta dotyczy. Istotnym zadaniem tekstu jest także wskazanie na przyczyny zainteresowania problematyką bezpieczeństwa kulturowego w coraz bardziej wielokulturowym, hybrydalnym i płynnym świecie transformacji społecznych epoki postglobalnej, która bynajmniej nie prowadzi do kulturowej unifikacji społeczności i narodów, a wręcz odwrotnie - do wielowymiarowej ich dywersyfikacji. W analizie atrybutów, fenomenów oraz wyzwań bezpieczeństwa kulturowego przywołana zostaje ponad sześćsetletnia i zapomniana tradycja polskiej szkoły prawa międzynarodowego z początku XV wieku, która powstała na bazie koncepcji prawa narodów Pawła Włodkowica, rektora Akademii Krakowskiej i jednego z najwybitniejszych myślicieli polskiej myśli społecznej w wielokulturowej epoce Rzeczpospolitej doby Jagiellonów. Powstałe wówczas koncepcje mogą być inspiracją aksjologii bezpieczeństwa kulturowego odróżnionego od kultury bezpieczeństwa oraz budować międzykulturową perspektywę zrównoważonego modelu relacji osób, grup i organizacji jako konstruktu generującego bezpieczeństwo kulturowe we współczesnej przestrzeni komunikacyjnej i kulturowej współczesnego świata, wyznaczając rolę, jaką spełniać mają w nim refleksja akademicka, edukacja międzykulturowa i aksjologia zrównoważonego rozwoju.

The main goal of the article is to sketch ontological, functional and axiological differences of various security entities, and thus a wide scope of its definitions, which must respect at least two complementary criteria, it means: to whom and how it applies. An important task of the text is also to explain the causes of interest in the issues of cultural security in the increasingly multicultural, hybrid and fluid world of social transformations of the post-global era. These processes do not lead to cultural unification of communities and nations, quite the contrary - to multidimensional diversification. In the analysis of attributes, phenomena and challenges of cultural security it is worth to recall forgotten tradition of the Polish school of international law from the beginning of the 15th century, based on the concept of the "rights of nations" (ius gentium) developed by Paweł Włodkowic, Rector of the Krakow Academy and one of the most prominent thinkers of Polish social thought in the multicultural era of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth of the Jagiellonian community. The concepts created at that time may be an inspiration not only for defining but also for understanding the cultural security concept, its axiology distinguished from the security culture and for building intercultural perspective of a balanced model of relationships between people, groups and organizations in the communication and cultural space of the modern world, defining also the role of academic reflection, intercultural education and axiology of sustainable development.
